Beau White is an Australian hyperrealist and figurative oil painter who uses nightmarish imagery and absurdism to explore the darker side of the human condition.
Beau's recent body of work represents both primal fear and modern anxieties. This series explores the urge to resist nature and control the wilderness and “the other” as well as the artificial quagmire of consumerism and domestic suffocation.
As part of the Beinart Surreal Art Collective, Beau has exhibited in Australia and the U.S.A. His first solo exhibition was at 696 Gallery in Australia in 2009. He has since exhibited in group exhibitions at Tinning Street Gallery and beinArt Gallery in Melbourne, Australia; Copro Gallery in Santa Monica, Last Rites Gallery in New York City and Distinction Gallery in Escondido, USA.
Beau's latest solo exhibition "The Muck & The Mire" was held in October 2016 at Trocadero Art Space in Melbourne, Australia.
