Santiago Caruso (Quilmes, Argentina – 1982) is a symbolist artist of an avant-garde language, standing out for the vigor of its poetry and technique.  Dedicated to thefantastique, among his most important illustrated books you can find: Jane Eyre  (Folio Society); Los Cantos de Maldoror (Valdemar); El Rey de Amarillo, El Horror de Dunwich, La Condesa Sangrienta and El Monje y la Hija del Verdugo (Libros del Zorro Rojo); La Cena (La Caja de Cerillos); El Eco de mis Muertes (Self edition); Prisoner 489and The Walls of the Castle (Black Labyrinth); Senhorita Christina(Tordesilhas); Historias de Vampiros (Longseller); The Peacock Escritoire and Tarshishim  (Ex Occidente Press); Three Great Plays of Shakespeare and Don Quixote, (Penguin Readers).

Between 2005 and 2011, he collaborated with the magazines Caras y Caretas, Noticias and Cinemanía. He has also makes book covers for Actes Sud, Valdemar, Random House, Tartarus Press, Nightshade Books, Dark Regions Press and Planeta, among others.  Also, he has created the visual concept of music albums of different bands of America and Europe.

Member of the Beinart Collective since 2010, the artwork of Caruso is well represented in galleries and museums of Buenos Aires, United States, United Kingdom, Slovakia, Mexico and Spain.
